Meet the Residents
Marlene has been a member of the Quester and Linden Historical Society for several years, and she enjoyed participating at the Loose Senior Center. She enjoys taking daily walks and learning about antiques!
Dolly graduated from Scared Heart High School in Flint where she met and married her husband of 57 years, Bill. You would often find them cheering for and attending Notre Dame football games. Dolly was known for hosting large family gatherings, vacationing with her son Mark or spending time outside walking and enjoying nature. In her spare time, she would be at St Mary’s in Swartz Creek, greeting people at the back of church or working funeral dinners.
Kate speaks American Sign Language because both of her parents were hearing impaired. She lived in Germany for several years, soon after her marriage, while her husband served in the US Army. They traveled together around Europe as newlyweds. Kate and her husband meet at church and had two children together. Kate worked for many years as a Genesee Bank Teller, and has traveled to many foreign countries, including Australia, Barbados, China, Greece, and New Zealand!
Gary attended Wayne State and graduated with a radio, TV, and film degree. He was able to use his degree all over the world. His favorite place to photograph was Germany where he learned to speak the language. Gary also served in the Army from 1962-1965. A print that he wishes he owned would be “Moon Over Half Dome.” This was a print taken by Ansel Adams, a photographer that Gary admires!
