Resident Needs
As an assisted living community, we provide 24-hour assistance based on individual Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). We are also a vetted Memory Care Community offering specialized care and programs for individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or other types of memory loss. Finally, as Intermediate Care Providers, we provide 24-hour assistance based on activities for daily living and specialized care & programs for individuals with early stage dementia. In everything we do, Vicinia Gardens makes it our goal to provide services that are provided in a safe and secure environment.
Our Services
Here at Vicinia Gardens, we have a 24-hour staff, as well as emergency response systems. Our amenities include three meals a day, planned activities, weekly maintenance, and housekeeping. In addition, we have emergency response systems, as well as a round-the-clock team, as well as individualized programs attuned to our residents’ needs.
Staffing
Our assisted living community is staffed by hospitality professionals and trained resident assistants, and our memory care community is staffed by hospitality experts. We also have trained resident assistants specializing in cognitively impaired residents and an intermediate care staff that is trained to tailor to the need of residents with early stage dementia.
Accommodations
Vicinia Gardens has private suites with handicapped-accessible showers – fully-equipped with grab bars and fold-down shower benches. Also, we offer medication management through Electronic Medication Administration Records (eMARS).

Administrator/Licensee
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) – Trains Staff In Properly Handling Situations With Dementia And Alzheimer Residents

Resident Director
- Provides leadership, supervision, and training to resident assistants, as well as to the life enrichment, dietary, and housekeeping staff.
- Supervises the care of all residents.
- Maintains communications with residents’ extended family as needed.
- Serves as a patient advocate to facilitate communication to management, medical professionals, and others as needed.
Resident Assistant
- Provides direct care to residents in activities of daily life, including showering, dressing, personal hygiene, and toileting.
- Escorts residents to and from the dining room for all meals, snacks, and activities.
- Encourages socialization to promote a family atmosphere.
- Follows Vicinia Garden’s professional standards in documentation and medication administration.
Life Enrichment Coordinator/Aide
- Plans and guides activities for residents, including daily exercises, bingo, cards, Wii games, crafts, and movie nights.
- Organizes special activities for holidays and birthdays, including visits from school groups, pet visits, musicals, and other entertainment performances.
- Produces a monthly calendar of events and announces all scheduled activities.
- Promotes, welcomes, and encourages participation.

Chef/Dietary Aide
- Provides home-cooked meals that meet the dietary needs, concerns, and requests of residents.
- Maintains the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness.
- Provides a monthly menu that describes offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Announces changes and updates menu as needed.
- Ensures that fresh fruits, healthy snacks, and beverages are easily accessible for residents at all times.
Housekeeper
- Cleans residents’ suites, including bathrooms, every day.
- Washes each resident’s clothes and linens separately, at least weekly or as needed.
- Provides a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the community.
- Maintains professional safety standards when it comes to using cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Posts signs of caution to mark areas that are wet.
